Sketch of a windmill, with coloration added in Photoshop. The pencil work is a blend of pencils, a lot ebony and HB. An eraser was used for highlights and a blending stump for some of the contrasts. For once, I got one to show up nicely on the scanner.

That is so lovely, Lavvy! It's so calm and soothing, the brown tones really make the piece.

It looks real nice but I loved to see it in a higher resolution.
Otherwise the reflection looks crafted and the windmill subtley stands out .

Yes, I see what your saying. I did soften the undertones of the water using Photoshop. ^^

the tone of the piece is really represented well with the rust tint. I really like the overall feeling emitted from it. the contrast between the clouds and the windmill/rest of the piece is also excellent. I'm having trouble putting my finger on exactly what I like so much about this...but either way, it's very very impressive. :o )

The original piece was graphite, but it's nice to see what effects you can get from Photoshop with a little color tint. ^^
