I Watched A Part of Myself Die. Is the title.

Symbolic, not physical. Although I have lost partial of my use of my leg this week, perhaps its duelist. Its funny how something is such a strong piece of you for a long time. Then everything changes and you have to change too. Adapt or die.

Again, my technique is still shaky, I'm still recovering, makes it hard to work. Haven't been doublechecking my angles as I've just not had the energy to rework. I hope despite my technical failures the piece can be appreciated for the value of it.

I love the technique in this one,especially the select use of white. The marks show the emotion well, and the eyes are very expressive.

Oh my...I love it.
This is wonderfully done. I like the shaddowing in white. It looks great.
But why only the faces?
Wouldn't the effect not be more intense when you also shaddowed the neckline?
Yet, wonderful!

Thank you for the comments. Yeah the neckline looked weak to me as well. Typically when I put this much work into the shading I'll think more carefully about the composition, but I really didn't think too much about it.
