Artist's Comments
I've had all kinds of tonal problems with this image, especially with three light sources and no reference. I must have been out of my head when I thought about painting this realistically.
I've had to go back and loose a lot of the shine to darken the piece up as it was completely off. Its still off now but better. I got a new flat panel monitor to replace my dinosaur of a screen. I think the brightness on my screen may be too high. I bet this will look darker than it looks to me. :/ I'll check it later. Still some major problems with lighting and tone, hopefully I'll have time to get it in better shape than it is now. Now I'll have to add more tint now that I've got the shadows right again. |
